Kelly's Heroes. One of the greatest movies of all time.
I obviously like them both but have watched Eagles quite a bit more.

I often wonder how everyone made it home in Kelly's. Let me know if you have thoughts about it.

Haven't seen 'Fury', but enjoy a viewing of 'Cross of Iron'.
They at least used actual Russian tanks for the assault scene, not mockups.

Fury was OK but too CGI, with the over the top ending, Cross of Iron though a bit weird at times was good.

Kelly's Heroes I figured they used some gold bars to pay their way home.

Both are good, but Saving Private Ryan has exceptional action scenes, and its outstanding sets coupled with its outstanding sound, adds extra quality to the action scenes.

Both are set during the D-Day invasion of 1944, and both are good. But Saving Private Ryan portrays the invasion as a soldier would see it and does it so good, it has to be regarded as one of the greatest war movies ever made.

Not a fan of Saving. You don’t shoot our medic ( Corpsman ) then get to walk away. Sorry, that's where it lost me.

Ya, I noticed that too, and like you, it got on my nerves. There's a few "dumb" scenes in that movie. I guess the movie producers were trying to impress upon the viewer the incredible desperation that war invokes, and considering they was behind enemy lines, they couldn't just tie him up and leave him there, and it would have been even stupider if they would have simply executed the dude. At least they blind folded the guy and made him walk.

Have watched Escape from NY a couple of times over the years, found it enjoyable. Never seen Big Trouble in Little China.

Big Trouble is one of my favorite movies, Jack Burton is a classic unanti-hero, lol, almost everything he says is golden. You won’t regret watching this movie. I recommend watching it immediately, lol.

Reanimator or Scanners ?
