Questions about the following DZ:SME CG-1 SSR:
CGI.2 Beginning with the 1-2 6 June Afternoon CG Date, at-start American units/Weapons on/north-of hexrow FaV suffer from Ammunition Shortage (A19.131) unless:
• Their Setup Area includes hexes on both the Sa and Fa map sections;
• The Germans are unable to set up any unit on the Fa map section; and
• The Germans do not have a unit within 4 hexes of the FaA14-FaTT14 road capable of exerting ≥ 1 FP on any hex of that road.
Questions:
  1. Do all three conditions need to be met for the Ammo Shortage to take effect? In other words, does the 'and' at the end of the second condition connect all three conditions? or just the second and third?
  2. It mentions the road FaA14-FaTT14, but the map for this campaign only uses hexes north of hexrow HH on map Fa. Just a typo in the SSR? Or is the whole of map Fa used?

Since the second bullet says "and" all 3 conditions must be met.

From the HASL erratta download at MMP. See the second entry.

Drop Zone: Sainte-Mère-Église
SM1, SSR SM5: line 3, replace “2-2-7” with “2-3-7”.
SM4.5 (page SM11), SSR CGI.2, 3rd bullet: replace “FaTT14” with “FaHH14”.
SM4.5 (page SM11), SSR I-1.2: line 2, after “On a”, add “Final”.
SM4.5 (page SM12), I-1 GERMAN MORNING PURCHASES chart: in the “3 points” column of the “Leadership” section, the “8-1
× 2” entry should read “8-0 × 2”.
SM4.7 (page SM17), CG III-1: add new SSR: “III-1.5 During the CG III-1 RePh, use the Sa map section on/south-of hexrow K and
the entire Fa map section for determining CG Victory Conditions and Setup Areas, with the Germans Controlling all Strategic
Locations south of hexrow FaF and the Americans Controlling all such Strategic Locations north of Hex Grains SaEE1-EE23-Z23-
Z28.”.
SM4.7 (page SM18), III-1 GERMAN MORNING PURCHASES chart: in the “3 points” column of the “Leadership” section, the
“8-1 × 2” entry should read “8-0 × 2”.
SM4.7 (page SM19), III-2 GERMAN MID-MORNING REINFORCEMENTS: in the first OB group, delete “in any Setup
Area(s)”.
SM4.7 (page SM19), SSR III-2.5: lines 2 and 10, replace “III-2” with “III-3”.

Thank you for the Q&A reference.

regarding the “..and..” statement, what’s the rationale for your conclusion?

the "and" at the end of the penultimate statement means that all the statements must be met. Note that the last 2 statements must be met or all units will be under ammo shortage. If the last 2 statements are met, then depending on the set up area(s) for the Americans some units might be under ammo shortage and some units are not.

Does this mean the US will almost assuredly be under ammo shortage, since those criteria will be very hard to meet? I mean, we are talking about essentially expelling all Germans from the Southern flank.

Or, does the SSR from scenario 2 mean the Germans want to get off of board Fa? "I-2.1 At the end of this CG Date (step 4.403), each German Personnel unit on/south-of hexrow FaB must take a NTC; failing this NTC results in its Elimination (LLMC is NA). The following cumulative DRM apply:" [I've not pasted the DRM table]. That doesn't make sense to me because the CG VC for the Germans is to have FP in LOS of the middle road.

I guess I'm having a hard time picturing the the general flow of this CG. Maybe someone who's played it can chime in.

I remember reading somewhere that the NTC was to reflect something along the lines of the German units in that area of the map were not reliable, and deserted or retreated rather than fight. Help? Anyone else remember something like that?
