Hi mates:

Dogger Banks is done, but we are still a couple of days away.

Whats the hold up?

German Translations are now complete and installed.

A few behind the scenes dodads holding things up, but resolving rapidly.

We looking at a possible nifty FREE special for those of you who have bought ALL of our products, but nothing for sure yet.

Hint: One starts with S and the other starts with G.

A bone for rgreat: the updated Jutland engine will now feature semi-auto merchant capture logic.

Formation handling IS better.

We will be announcing our new Official SES Game Community forums Friday (Tomorrow).

For those that want to get a preview and sign up now, here is the link...

Lots of goodies coming real, real soon!:D

Mmm... nice. Not long now.

I don't have Ship Pack #1 as Yank stuff doesn't really interest me... Also it didn't fit the 1916/Jutland theme so I never bought it... so am I out of the picture for this secret free bonus thing?

(I have bought DG:RJW twice!!)

I have DG (not technically since I upgraded), DG 1.5, Jutland Pro & the US ship pack. I hope the ALL did not mean you'd worked your up through the standard/pro versions as well....

Jeez, gone for a few months and you guys give me a whole new year. I will definitely purchase immediately upon release.

I was *just* getting to 1915 in Corbett and my little "I won't continue my campaign until I read up to that point" rule was getting really hard to follow.

Corbett is an excellent read. I recently saw a good deal on unsold and still-in-the-packing copies of the 1997 reprint (including maps) for about $200 on Ebay.

It's that bad French-Italian-Austrian-Turkish strain. Once you have the bug you can't get rid of it.

I played Coronel to death using the Doc Turcan Dreadnaughts program. As British, it is the equivalent of the Star-Trek Koboyashi Maru scenario, i.e. certain death!! Falklands played as German is the same. I really hope that you are right in your S... G... guess. I would welcome the chance to get hammered (even worse than usual) using the SES Jutland software.

I'm in the same boat (ship???). If it is indeed the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, perhaps they could be issued as a mini-expansion for those of us willing to pay a few dollars. It seem a shame that, as I am not so much into the USA expansion, I have to miss out on a couple of ships I am interested in.

Cheers

You're correct. And I don't think SES has wasted time modelling Monmouth, Good Hope, the Dresden and what not.

So what if we were to have a 1915 optional campaign in which S&G snuck to Germany while the German light cruisers at the Falklands fooled the British force into chasing and sinking them? :smoke: Think about it. It's quite unlikely, but fun. And all it involves is adding 2 ships to the campaign script and the modelling. We - the players - would have to do all the work involving the ships in 1915... :p
