Good day to all my ASL Comrades, Vic from Dispatches from the Bunker here.

I just transmitted Dispatch #61 this afternoon, it has the usual 4 scenarios, another fine article by Carl Nogueira, regional tourney news and all the usual for my subscribers.

If you have not seen Dispatches from the Bunker, it is a bi-annual amateur ASL newsletter that has just saw our 200th scenario published along with many articles on all aspects of ASL play. If you do not subscribe but want to, I have a sale going on to celebrate the publication of yet another fine ASL periodical. All back issues are also available in a WORKs Order.

To subscribe, simply go to the Emporium Link here at Game Squad, then my Dispatches Monthly Update and then scroll to the bottom of the last page, current info is there. Or e-mail me directly at: aslbunker@aol.com

I sure hope to hear from you and Thanks to all my current subscribers for making Dispatches a going concern in our hobby. Enjoy and roll low, your ASL Comrade, Vic. 🎲🎲

Hi there Vic. Maybe you are copy-pasting some regular boilerplate above (about the Emporium Link) but when I visit the Emporium here, it looks rather dead. Like there hasn't been a new thread since 2025 and there are very few threads (that I can see). Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but figured I'd share my experience and ask here.

Maybe I'll Google what WORKs is or just email you later.

Cheers.

Hi Blitz, are you logged in while checking. I just went there for the first time as I have an enormous cache of ASL stuff from an estate account to sell for the hobby store I work for in my retirement, and there were several posts that were recent. It was the only thing I could think of that might be the problem.

This was the Emporium I was referring to: The Emporium | GameSquad Forums

It was the only one I could find when I went up to the start page for this website and scrolled to the bottom.

I can see from Vic's response though that there is also a section called "The ASL Emporium" which is apparently different. Thanks everyone.

Hi All

Just played DftB 199 Brush Fire! - What a hoot!!!! - huge recommendation to those who want a quick and cool game
Lost as Germans but Maurizio is such a great player I could not resist against his superb counter attack from the Ruskies - he literally re-took his guns back and with inexperience crews dispatched all the tanks that had caused so much havoc

Cheers

Rob :)

Awesome, glad you liked it, Steve Johns keeps coming up with great scenarios that are somewhat basic in design, with few SSRs that are a challenge to win for either side and have proven, over time, to be balanced for the most part and a blast to play. Look for another in Dispatch #62 as we tee up Rummelsburg Rumble for the new issues playtest. Already played it solo twice to make sure it was OK and it is very OK to me with a win for the Russians, then the Germans. Now I get to play it against excellent playtester Steve Anderson starting next week. Of all the designers I have published, Steve causes me the least number of headaches for sure. Roll Low!
