So, how'd you vote yesterday?
Four "no" s from my house. I've always been pro union. Susan is English and gwen decided since she wasn't confident about it it was better to vote no now and have the chance of yes in future. A yes today would be irreversible. Alex voted no as he did not want the cost imposed upon him.

I'm very glad it's in my collection. I would buy it again if I lost my copy. If LFT supports it with another DASL pack that uses those 7 boards with its scenarios and publishes more scenarios in their magazine and FTC, the worth will get higher and higher.

Given the support LFT have given BFP boards in their publications I would expect them doing more for these boards. It would be a shame not to give them some more love.

However if I had to choose between these and say Poland In Flames or Cholm I would go for the others. Obviously I would want all three and I am saving up for PiF when it comes out

I am sure when this sells out the price it will fetch will beyond many folks reach including me

I am surprised that you would not ant to play more deluxe Ian, especially with your minatures penchant. Playing with 3D tanks is fun!

I just bought my copy from Scott at G.A. and they are the best looking map artwork of any game I own. One question though, where are the hedges? Maybe because there are many PTO scenarios in this pack which tend to use hedges less? Just curious.

Hedges are on the four maps from Hedgerow Hell ( MMP)

Because my usual supplier only ordered it last week, I have not got mine yet, but I did get a look at one when meeting up for a couple of hours on Saturday with Delirium, Mister T and PaKman. The only very slight quibble I have with the maps is that the Crags seem to float above the map like weird barrage balloons. The scenarios look an interesting lot though I only very quickly skimmed them, closer inspection will give me a better idea. The cards themselves as every thing you could wish for, lovely bright and sparkly.

My apologies in advance if my question has already been asked somewhere else on the forums...I took a quick look, but I did not see it...and I don't have a lot of time to keep digging. :)

What is the terrain type in hexes F2 and F3 on board d2?...it is not the same as hexes B1 or K5...are F2/F3 supposed to be the same terrain type as B1 and K5 (brush?)?
Same on board d7...what terrain type is in hex N2?...not the same as hexes L2 & G1...Is N2 supposed to be Marsh but missing enough "water" art in the hex to make it obvious?

Thanks in advance for any clarifications that any of you all can throw my way. Love the look of the overall pack and boards...I am playing either FT207 or FT208 next month...I agree with the others that this looks to be a great product.

I would agree with you, d2F2-d2F3 and d7N2 look like Marsh. Their pattern matches d3F1-d3G1-d3G2 which also looks like Marsh, especially with the stream going into them, but the overall green color is a darker tint. It looks like all of these hexes have tiny light blue splotches which are supposed to indicate water. These tiny light blue splotches are more pronounced in d3F1-d3G1-d3G2 but still noticeable even in d7N2.

Played one of the new LFT DASL scenarios where a SSR stated, 'All Marsh on board x is Woods." Took me a little while to find the Marsh hex, so your thoughts are correct.

I've noticed also that the marsh hexes won't transform on the VASL boards. I've tried changing marsh to woods, marsh to grain, etc. They remain marsh no matter what I've selected.

Maybe it's worth posting this in the VASL section?

I believe the necessary conversion has not been done. In order to allow terrain conversion, the VASL board designer has to draw multiple versions of such hexes and I am not sure this has been done in the VASL version of deluxe maps.

I played a DASL game at ASLOK (The Last Pillbox). No one took a picture so there is no proof of it. -- jim

Did you enjoy it? Or did you make sure there was no evidence of that either? :)

Actually, you played two DASL games at ASLOK. If you played Totsugeki you were playing DASL, but on small hexes.

I thought the scenario was interesting, but I mostly played it because it was designed by a friend and fellow Bitter Ender, Ed Fritz, Jr. Unfortunately, it was marred by a printing error (the Americans should have two Stuarts and not one) and some confusion by the SSR's. I want to play it again as the American to see if it is better balanced with these clarifications. It was interesting.

Then its not DASL silly. Or you just made everything DASL. My one and only real gripe about DASL is the "small" boards takes away maneuver options. A single Bazooka in the middle of the board controls the whole thing. -- jim

No silly, you complain about playing DASL because of the 'small' boards, but turn around and play a scenario like Totsugeki, which is played on a half-board. Which is the equivalent of playing on two DASL boards.
