Here is the 'completed' clean map of Lazur. Now I get to blow it all up (Shellholes, Rubble, Debris)! 🤯 Also need to add things like Cliffs, Stairwells, etc., tidy up minor errors, and turn the blue lines into Gullies.

Hi Alan,
Bit of a silly question maybe but do we have counterd for dug in 'tank turret fortifications'? Or do people just use a bog standard turret counter and an SSR to represent them?

I've never seen one in a scenario but never say never.

He might have the Panther and Pzkw IV Stellung counters, Alan. He'll let you know one way or the other. Broken Ground Design has a lot of the ASL essentials in abundance.

I am just starting to read Hitler's Fortresses by Chris McNab and Tank Turret Fortifications by Neil Short. It seems that many different types of tank turrets were used (even Italian tanks. Some fitted out with Grrman guns). And not to mention the little armoured MG-Panzernests.

I love to read too, Alan. Hope that goes very well. The Italians get roughed up by the UK Ghurkas during WW2. It sounds like you're researching the Atlantic Wall. There's a couple of books I'm needing to buy right now - of one of those is by a Christian pastor.

I like to read a lot more than I used to. I read a ton of stuff over both China and Japan over the summer, and my pal Brian Train is releasing a game, "China's War: 1937-41," that is exactly between China and Japan. So it's neat to have added background info, and when I read over his boardgame's review, everything I had covered in the literature it seems like was in his GMT board game. The guy can write the board game rules like no other.

Sounds like your friend put an awful lot of work into his game

Usually the designer just uses the turret counters, there are however several turret types for the Atlantic wall defenses from CH modules

Thanks Olli, I guess I'm just thinking it would be really cool if we had counters for them (but, saying that, from what I have read so far there would need to be an awful lot of different types and not just 'Panther Turrets'.
I must admit, I haven't come across a situation yet where I would need them for a scenario but, as I say, never say never.
