Hi All

My ASL goodness just arrived from "Gamers Armory" for this years releases so far and I noticed the Bd99 was released!
Being old and a NERD I began wondering instantly - Hey Bd100 is coming!
Such a famous board and a milestone for ASL - what could it be!!!!
?Back to the future maybe - a city board never done before and essential for us
A board where every game has to use it! - village - open ground - etc etc

There are 99 boards out there - what is missing? ;)

Anyone else curious?

Cheers

Rob :)

I would hope that board 100 be the opposite of board 1 , i.e., a mostly open terrain board which should be very easy to remember.

There are already several mostly or all city boards between 1 and 99. I count 5 or depending on definition up to 7 or so.

Board 50 in retrospect should have been a special, easy to remember one, but we are too late for that now.

Similar thoughts for when the numbers of other style of boards "roll over".

To be clear I would be OK with an OG board with the standard woods hexes at the board edge. And a dirt road running from one end to the other. Probably should have one or two intersecting roads running off sideways. A crossroads board with no buildings!?

A railroad printed down the length of the board, with woods on either side, maybe a gentle curve.
And a crossing two-thirds down the length in a dirt road.

Design board 100 as a solid green board, completely devoid of any roads, buildings or other terrain features, suitable only for the use of overlays. It could serve as a testament that after the creation of 99 geo boards in over 40 years, that the designers have finally run out of original ideas.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth over overlays would reach well over the volume of a Who concert.

I'll be the first one to design a scenario where you have to "flip" board 100. :D

Could have a 100a and a 100b. One with a dirt road with or without a railroad. The other side nothing but std. woods boards edge hexes.
I was referring to the all green one for overlays. Hence the flip joke.

Well, we haven't had an Ocean board yet. Just sayin'. 🤓
Not too many large scale Ocean board actions. Probably better with HASL maps. Or semi-HASL maps like the recent Normandy maps in Journal 16? But I would prefer this not be board 100.

Since it’s going to be included with Polish Eagles, a 1939 village would be a good one. 3573535736
