Berserk units and Leadership

A15.42 MORALE: ...a berserk unit never receives the leadership benefit of a friendly leader even if this deprives Good Order units of such benefits.

Ok...as an example a berserk unit stacked with a good order leader has to take a morale check...but per the first part of the rule the leader cannot apply his modifier to the MC roll.

Seems clear.

But...what the heck does the second part of the rule mean?

I would guess this means that when you have a berserk stacked with good order units if you FG them in first fire, the leadership modifier won't apply to the attack.
D'oh! Serious senior moment there. I was just looking at it from a morale check perspective.

Kind of forgot there is shootin' going on sometimes... 🤪
