Long time gaming buddy of mine, and US Air Force vet, Bill Homeyer, passed away two weeks ago. I met Bill while attending University in Houston, TX. He was working on a Computer Science MA and was an-all around gamer playing almost anything. Along with a few other regulars, we would often set to HUGE SL/COI/COD/GI DYO campaigns...it was great fun. Bill also was a D&D DM with a vivid and wild imagination. His campaigns were always great fun.
He moved to SF bay area back in the late 80's and we didn't get to see as much of each other as much as we would have liked after that.
A few years ago Bill and his family moved to the DC area and bought a home here and we reconnected. But, his wife hated the area and his kids missed their friends so he sold the home and moved back to CA.
I had a leader counter included in an MMP module for him and a few other gaming buddies from back then.
I'll miss Bill's wit and his tweaking me about my loss of temper at fickle dice.
