Another ASL counter production venture?

Seems like everyone wants in on the latest fad in ASL scenario counter production. My containers are already full but surprised by the number of folks who want more and more counters (beyond the noobs who don't have older modules). They look kind of weird to me but anticipate the counter "whores" will drive this up to some silly price.

So, what is the fascination with all these variant counters? is it part of the clipping cult? Is there a regimental ASL out there someplace? Is there such a thing as collection ASL counters? Thoughts?

I do not know, but I agree it is strange. I did see at least one error on the counters, and I don't know anything about the hypothetical PzVII Lion.

As much as I love counters...
I'll pass on these. I noticed some of these have purple vehicle silhouettes.
I'll just wait until Broken Ground starts shipping.

I personally don't see the use for counters otherwise represented by the system.
If they are there to fill the gap of OOP modules, the lack of chapter H notes makes them quite useless.
But I understand that any hobby has its derived products and that there are customers interested in them.
Having such unnecessary accessories is rather a sign of vitality of ASL.
So to each one his/her own.

MMP should publish chapter H manual updates that include nationalities that are no longer in production. They would be fairly easy to publish and would not detract from future core modules sales. As to counters being useless without Chapter H that is simply not true. Indeed, for the most part the information can be found, chapter H just makes it a whole lot easier.

I am predicting that these counters will sell for at least $500.00. It is sad there are people out there that will take advantage of the collector / hoarder mentality when it comes to stuff like this.

A player who doesn't look up chapter H will quite often miss special rules.
It is wrong to state that all is on the counters.
With experience and memory of the chapter H rules (e.g. when a Pz V stalls and how it works, or when a radioless Rusdian AFV gets a radio, etc.) one will read it less, of course.

I didn't realize that a Pz III was a Very Large target (2 red AFs).

And in the Q&A section, the seller mentions that they are printed on 1/8" (!!!!!) chipboard. Um....

Current bidding values them at $19/sheet. At that price my pre-order goal would be nearing success right now.

They look nice, I like the larger armour factor fonts. I have no interest in buying these, but I could see the appeal for those that do.

I wonder if there is some way for you to post your counters for pre order on eBay, I suspect it would reach a lot more people.

The information is available to any who would look for it. TPP counters also create an opportunity for MMP to publish "official" chapter H nationality sets. They already have the material and they could publish and sell it for say $20 bucks or so a nationality.

Yeah, maybe print a few sets for auction and in the description say more nationalities are available for pre order on the website.
