Have we worked out who actually won the game between Tim Reade and Steve Slunt yet? Given that the draw for the semi-final hasn't been made to date and their game is marked as being "in progress" on the Scenario Archive, is there still some doubt about this?

Hey Doug - Tim here!

I provided clarification to Martin and Dave as to the result as soon as I saw the video. Essentially, in our game the CVP cap was not reached (by 1 CVP) as the eliminated AFV had a MA Malfunction when it was eliminated. Ball in their court.

Sounds right. Doesn't get any closer than that. One of those rare occasions when breaking a vehicle's MA turns out to be a good thing!

Well this scenario sure was different. I entered very aggressive as I feared the North Koreans would run to the hills right at the start and wanted to be in position to interdict.

Then when Richard, surprisingly, did not move any where on turn 1, I decided to try to tie them down and make it impossible to get out- which meant that an already agressive attack become almost reckless. Sending Dave the tank into deep onto right flank was very risky and losing him would have blown the CVP cap immedially.

Dave survived and I won by annihilating the North Koreans BUT Richard being one CVP short of winning at the end. Real nail biter.

I do not recommed my attack to anyone, but sometimes there is a method to my madness....

I was very dubious about this scenario when I first looked at it but it turned to be a real fun game. I was surprised to see that most NKA players set their forces up so far forward since it appeared to me that the best plan was to set up as close to the hills as possible and then head for them. As things turned out, it wasn't as easy to evade the chasing UN troops as I had anticipated. At some point, the NKA have to expose themselves to fire as they move uphill and they are a very brittle force. Asad did a good job of harrying them and I suffered for exposing my commissar to a flat six shot trying to move along a ridge when he could have taken a safer option. That ended up with his being wounded. It eventually became clear that I wasn't going to have enough troops to exit and that I would need to go for the CVP cap option. The Australians were probably a little to bold in entering CC when, even though the odds might favour them, a bit of bad luck could undo them. In the end, I was able to scape the last CVP that I needed when the wounded commissar nailed a UN HS in CC at odds of 1-2. Too close for comfort!
