    Uh-oh...

Saying the US would not DoW Germany after a Sealion because the USSR DoW'd Germany is wrong, IMO. If Germany invades England, I think what Russia did or did not do afterwards would be inconsequential to the US' decision on aiding England. A reasonable argument could be made that the US would...

Read some Harry Turtledove to see what he thinks would have happened...not sure he's up to WWII though.

    Uh-oh...

That would take one event to cancel the Barb TO and another two to reset the Barb effects in case someone tried Sealion while in the middle of Barb. Would a Sealion TO be required as well? The problem I see is that doing this says that had Germany invaded England in 1940 and win or lose, she...

    Uh-oh...

Wouldn't the entry of the US put an immediate end to BoB? As we all know, the goal was to eliminate the RAF for a follow-up (if still necessary) invasion. Had the U.S. entered the war in August, 1940, I can't see the Germans coninuing with the plan knowing that it would take at least a month...

    Uh-oh...

I'm not sure if there are any spare events, but perhaps an event to release a mini-wave of weaker US units 2-3 turns after Germany invades the UK? Wouldn't the US ship anything it could to aid England in this situation? What about naval units? Would one or two more US Fleets allow the Allied...

    Player Report: The Finnish Badlands

We're all waiting to know how it went...do tell. And no, as far as you know I won't use this information against you :p

    EA with Ravenstrike 2.0

What made you decide not to invade Finland early on? I just started my first turn of ver 3.4 and I see all the nifty changes in Finland and am wondering what others have experienced when invading the Finns with this version. My old Finn strategy is now out the window so I'm leaning on the...

I, II, & III Marine Corps

Don't be too hard on yourself Mark; as far as you know, no one thinks your crap. :p I must be the lucky one that keeps getting your few and far between bugs (Grozny comes to mind). No worries...I'll muddle through without the Marines.

A couple of thoughts on France

I very much like the idea of part 1 but not 2. With Orleans/Lyon as the new "capitol" we'd see more moves through Switzerland and/or Italy. A thought would be to give a small (25%?) chance of a French surrender if EITHER of these cities are captured; or pick any other two cities. This would...

I, II, & III Marine Corps

In my game vs that crazy Screamer, its turn 92 with France down to a total of three hexes (the center one is Paris) and I notice that three US Marine Corps have withdrawn. We're playing the latest version and the US are not yet involved...and may never be :D If/when the US does enter it...

    Poland

Rev, fall back to Moscow and Stalingrad. The latter is VERY tough to take and the Barbarossa bonus will be gone before his units get close to the city. If you have enough to save both cites, do so; if not I'd focus on Stalingrad. You'll be getting a load of new units once the sitz starts...

    Switzerland - pre-war OOB

I could see a post France EA which gives the Axis a chance still to play in NA and the Balkans before turning to Russia, not to mention it keeps Finland alive...and it doesn't include the shitz...err SITZ! That was a typo, honest! :halo:

    Supply warfare

This may not be a bad idea...but how do you model subs? I just finished a book title "How Hitler Could Have Won WWII", the authors main point is the lack of foresight by Hitler to take Egypt and the Middle East (the Raeder Plan). He quotes a Churchill letter to FDR in which Churchill says if...

    Moscow vs Stalingrad

You may also want to keep holding Baku. I just learned the hard way that to lose the city gives the allies a +4 supply and, it appears, more units in the pool(?). In my EC game I took Baku prior to the final fall of Russia. Once Baku was taken I sent the unit responsible out to take control...

    Moscow vs Stalingrad

I believe that the general consensus is to take Stailingrad first and Moscow second. Stalingrad is by far the harder of the two cities to capture as it is easier to defend and those nice new Russian units like to pop-up a few hexes to the east...not to mention all those goodies to the south...
