Dragon Age: Origins

First Expansion Pack for Dragon Age: Origins Announced

I guess I better get around to finishing the core campaign!

BioWare Announces Return to Ostagar DLC

BioWare announced today that the Return to Ostagar downloadable content (DLC) for Dragon Age: Origins will be available for the Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system, the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system and PC versions this Holiday season in North America and Europe. The DLC pack, Return to Ostagar, allows players to exact their revenge and embark on a quest for the mighty arms and armor of the once great King Cailan when they revisit Ostagar, the site of the Grey Wardens’ darkest hour, to reclaim the honor and learn the secrets of Ferelden’s fallen king.

“We are very proud of the phenomenal launch of Dragon Age: Origins and we’re pleased to announce the next installment of downloadable content that will be available to fans of the game,” said Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager, RPG/MMO Group of EA, and Co-Founder, BioWare. “The Return to Ostagar DLC pack is a prime example of BioWare’s commitment to give fans a game that continuously offers new experiences and further enriches a storyline that has already received critical acclaim and positive feedback from the players.”

Dragon Age: Origins Combat Developer Diary

BioWare has released a new developer diary that describes how the game's combat system was designed.  Pay special attention to the 'final thoughts' segement where DA:O is described as BioWare's game for their "grown up"  audience - interesting choice of words.  Overall, the vid makes for some interesting viewing!

Dragon Age: Origins

I believe 2009 to be one of worst years for PC gaming in a long time.  While console gamers have fared better, PC gamers have had to put up with one poorly executed console port after another.  Is there no hope?  Where is our knight in shining armor?

Look there!  On the horizon!   A figure clad in plate mail, mounted upon a great steed!  It’s…it’s…Ser BioWare!

Okay, that might be a bit dramatic, but it pretty much sums up how I feel about BioWare’s latest role playing game, Dragon Age: Origins.  Delivering one the finest fantasy RPG experiences in a long time, Dragon Age: Origins has rescued PC gaming’s fair maiden with its deep gameplay, visceral combat, and engaging story.  In short, it is the game that saved 2009.

Dragon Age: Origins

Bioware today released some new screenshots from their forthcoming game, Dragon Age: Origins. These screenshots are of "Orazz", if that means anything to you. Hmm...I wonder what the rent is?

Dragon Age: Origins is expected to be released on November 3rd in North America and November 6th in Europe for Xbox 360 and PC. The Playstation 3 version will follow later in November.
