Retro Studios has the honor of forever being recognized as the developer that brought what is arguably Nintendo’s most beloved franchise to life in polygonal form. Moreover, they captured everything that made Metroid great and more. They even managed to create a new genre in the process: the first-person adventure. Having overcome the naysayers that doubted their ability to pull off this feat, Retro was left with creating sequels that would live up to the original.
