1UP - Best Games of E3 2009

in

The 1UP page has some final thougts on E3 and the best games from this year's event. "The editors of 1UP.com are still recovering from this year's videogame preview overdose, but they've taken the time to place their votes for the best games seen at E3 2009. It's the year of the sequel it seems, and the expected heavyweights like God of War 3, Uncharted 2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 all make the list, but a few surprises (like Left 4 Dead 2) make an appearance as well. The competition this year was stiff indeed."

Microsoft unveils controller-free gaming for Xbox 360

Microsoft has unveiled a new technology that completely replaces the need for a controller in some games. Steven Spielberg and other celebrities joined Microsoft at E3 to talk about where this innovation might take Microsoft and the Xbox 360 in the future. According to Shane Kim, Microsoft's vice president of strategy and business development for videogames, "You are the controller. That's a very powerful piece of technology -- full body gesture tracking, not just two hands"

Project Natal is Microsoft's codename for the new project.
