    Mythic Entertainment today announced the Return to Britannia Campaign in celebration of the 12-year anniversary of Ultima Online (UO). As part of the Return to Britannia Campaign, all former players are being welcomed back to UO, one of the longest-running MMORPGs in history, for unlimited free game play through October 16th. Closed accounts in good standing have been re-activated, and former players can log back into the game using their original user name and passwords.

    Uforia, an online game publisher specializing in massively multiplayer online games, today launched the first closed beta and the full website for its upcoming Online Military FPS, Mercenary Wars.     Great fictional moments come in threes. Now gaming has its own in the form of the Elven Legacy Trilogy, three epic expansion packs for the Fantasy Strategy title Elven Legacy from Paradox Interactive, releasing in October, November and December 2009.

    Continuing the intense tale of a world that pits elf against human, the first of the trilogy, Ranger, is set to release on October 20th and will feature 16 new campaign missions, two new main heroes, along with new artifacts and spells.

    Fans will then only have a month to wait for the middle chapter, Siege, which will follow on November 17th and will contain 19 new campaign missions (as well as additional unlockable bonus missions), two different armies and three new heroes.

    Today, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, the most highly awarded Xbox360 game of E3 2009, will street on February 23, 2010, in North America exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and for Windows PC.

    Today, Ubisoft announced that the patch 1.1 for the PC version of Heroes Over Europe is available for download. The patch 1.1 improves flight stick functionality and ability to unlock various missions to maximize the in-game battle experience.

    The patch 1.1 also increases stability on a minimum configuration with XP64, as well as eliminated the decreased stability after installing AMD dual core optimizer software.

    Today Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed II: Discovery for the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DS systems will launch on November 17 for the manufacturer's suggested retail price of $29.99. The game is rated "T for Teen" by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB).

    Assassin's Creed II: Discovery takes players through an untold chapter from the Assassin's Creed® II console storyline utilizing the unique strengths of the Nintendo DS platform.     One2One Collectibles has announced a new range of 1:2 scale busts from the massive Halo franchise. The first statue to be released will be the Halo Master Chief bust. It will be available from late October and is pre-ordering now on a first come, first served basis.

    This Master Chief bust has been sculpted to capture one of the best known icons in the Video Game industry. The 1:2 Scale Bust stands 12 inches tall and 12 inches wide. The statue is beautifully painted and both the visor and the middle of the base are Solid Gold Plate.

    Further Halo characters in this range will include a Spartan, Brute Chieftain and ODST Marine busts, which will be available later in Q4 2009. The range coincides with the release of the new Halo video game later this month – Halo 3: ODST.

    Legendo Entertainment, an independent publisher of computer and video games head-quartered in Sweden, today announced that Pearl Harbor Trilogy, an episodic air combat action game series, is in development for Wii™. Pearl Harbor Trilogy is a re-interpretation of Legendo’s popular PC title “Attack on Pearl Harbor” – with the first episode, “Red Sun Rising,” planned for a winter 2009 release on WiiWare. The game is being developed by Legendo in cooperation with Arcade Moon, the Wii specialist label of 3D People, an independent game developer located in Slovakia.

    Stanislav Petri, Aerial Star Programmer at Arcade Moon had this to offer, “We have tamed the innards of the Wii to make its GPU glow red-hot as we’re shooting for 60 FPS aerial dogfight action using all the tricks in the book.”

    This second patch to Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943 updates the game to version 1.3.0 and includes the previous tweaks and improvements from the v1.1.0 patch as well as a host of new fixes and features, such as:

    • Game stability improved
    • Possibility to cheat in multiplayer removed (by changing cost of units)
    • You can now play gunfire sounds in Order of Battle screen as well as in encyclopedia (left-click on a soldier, gun or ammo icon)
    • Free camera now is the default
    • Aiming routine imroved (including aiming at soldiers visible through windows)
    • 'Barrage fire' routine improved
    • Fire sector checking improved
    • Explosive charge was removed from 76mm M79 shell
    • 88mm PzGr. 39 Initial velocity corrected

    Today, Ubisoft announced that Heroes Over Europe for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system is now available in stores. The sequel to Heroes of the Pacific, the World War II flight combat game, Heroes Over Europe builds on the game's impressive legacy with intense dogfights, a highly detailed realistic visual presentation and even more online options. The Windows-based PC version of the game will be available in stores next week.
