    Out of left field comes another indie title that seems to have the makings of a great game. It is NeoCore’s King Arthur, a game described as a “role-playing wargame” and one seemingly packed with big battles, great spellcraft and courtly intrique. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one!

    Heaven Media are pleased to announce the first ever competitive tournament for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.

    Players from professional esports teams Reason Gaming and Team Dignitas will clash with one another, and tossed in the mix are some of our very own staff from Heaven Media. They will battle it out over three different game nights to determine who will crown themselves the champions.

    This closed tournament will showcase this new and exciting game and highlight some of its key features. You can certainly expect blogs, videos and more to come online once the finals have been completed and we are sure to see more Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising tournaments in the future!

    Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) and Slitherine Strategies (www.slitherine.com) are pleased to announce that a new playable demo and a new comprehensive 1.8 update are now available for Conquest! Medieval Realms. The new update fixes a rare crash bug, addresses an issue with selecting territories, and brings a number of other minor fixes.

    Ironclad Games and Stardock Entertainment have released hotfixes for Sins of a Solar Empire and Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment today. These hotfixes resolve issues discovered by players after the release of the previous updates.

    Changes include:

    + Fix for Akkan's colonize potentially creating neutral resource extractors.
    + Fix for Adept Drone Anima not behaving correctly in original Sins.
    + Fix for NanoHullRepair sound effect.
    + Jam Weapons will now only be autocast when a threshold number of enemy strike craft are in range. (Entrenchment Only)

    Fun Infused Games would like to announce the first details of our upcoming game Abduction!. Abduction! is being developed for Xbox Live Indie Games at the price of 80 Microsoft Points and will be released in late 2009 or early 2010.

    Abduction! allows gamers to take control of an alien UFO, abduct humans and other animals, and generally cause havoc on Earth for no other reason than because you can. Your UFO features a unique tractor beam technology that allows you to pick up not only Earthlings but also many other objects which you will need to manipulate to complete all the tasks in each of five levels.

    The game will feature Story and Score Attack modes and global leader boards so that you can compete for high scores against other Xbox Live users.

    Frogster announced today that the online role play game, Runes of Magic has now recorded over 2 million registrations in Europe and the USA. Doing so, the Berlin publisher reaches a further milestone in the marketing of its multi-award-winning MMORPG, just six months on from the release of the first chapter ‘Rise of the Demon Lord’ in its German and English language versions. The second chapter ‘The Elven Prophecy’, launched recently in September, also saw the launch of additional French and Spanish language versions. The Russian language version is already in the starting blocks and preparations are on-going for further localised versions.

    Paradox Interactive today announced a new patch for the recently released Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim. The first patch adds new game features and addresses issues affecting the overall gaming experience.

    Majesty 2 players will now have instant access to future game updates with the implementation of an automatic update system that will download new patches and game updates as soon as they become available. Additionally, a "safe mode" is being introduced to Majesty 2 that will make it easier for players to optimize graphic settings.

    Also included in the new patch is a "bounty" of game fixes, addressing issues such as game balancing when casting spells, as well as offering enhanced communication features in the Majesty 2 chat lobbies.
