    BioWare announced today the Dragon Age: Origins Wardens’ Quest, a 24 hour gaming event for the upcoming dark, epic fantasy Dragon Age: Origins. To celebrate the launch of this award winning new game, BioWare is inviting gamers and press from North America and across Europe to put their skills and endurance to the test as they embark on a tense, epic journey of discovery. On October 28, at 10:00 AM GMT, ten teams of four players each will live, fight and explore the game as the drama unfolds in their 24 hour quest to claim the grand prize.     Matrix Games (www.matrixgames.com) and Ntronium Games (www.ntronium.com) have announced that they have reached a publishing agreement for Armada 2526, a space-based blend of addictive turn-based strategy and intense real time space battles. Matrix Games is particularly excited to be working with founder and director of Ntronium Games, R.T. Smith. Mr. Smith has been creating strategy games for more than 20 years, including the original 4x space classic Armada 2525. Most recently he was the project director and lead designer for Medieval 2: Total War, having earlier served as designer and programmer on the previous Total War games.

    BioWare today announced that the first chapter of Dragon Age Journeys, a free* to play browser based game set in the Dragon Age world, is now available. Dragon Age Journeys puts players in the role of a hero exploring the underground dwarven kingdom of Orzammar.     Kerberos Productions is one of those idie game companies that enjoys a rabid following of fans. I mean, have you tried Sword of the Stars?  Have you?!? Trust me, it is a 4X strategy game that gets in you blood (see our review here)!

    The quality gameplay found in SotS is the reason why so many people are eagerly anticipating Fort Zombie, Kerberos’ foray into the world of zombie survival.  Even though it is being billed as a “lil game”, knowing Kerberos, it will probably be packed with big entertainment values.  Count me in!

    Today, Ubisoft announced that Panzer General Allied Assault is available on Xbox LIVE Arcade, exclusively for the Xbox 360TM video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

    Panzer General Allied Assault takes place during the last months of World War II, when the Allies were pushing the Germans back to their lands. In this unique turn based strategy game, with its own personalized deck of 60 cards, the player recreates history by fighting this world’s most famous battles: Utah Beach, Operation Market Garden and even the Battle of the Bulge.

    Available for 800 Microsoft points, Panzer General Allied Assault features not only an immersive single player campaign but also an online player versus player mode.

Released simultaneously with the digitally re-mastered Beatles CD catalogue on September 9, 2009, the critically acclaimed game was also the #2 selling title across all genres by revenue in the U.S for the month of September. In addition, over 100K downloads of “All You Need Is Love” were sold in September.
