    European video game developer Wax Lyrical Games has announced the production of their latest adventure-puzzle game, Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok. To mark this announcement, Wax Lyrical Games has launched the official game website. This site features game news, information, screen shots and other media. Wax Lyrical Games was established by freelance developers Alan Thorn and Marlies Maalderink. Wittard: Nemesis of Ragnarok is its first game.

    Yesterday, EA CEO John Riccitiello sat down with Fox Business and had some very interesting comments concerning PC gaming.  According to Edge Online, he stated:

    "I think there are probably more people enjoying games on mobile devices than all the consoles put together, but there are also more consumers enjoying games on PCs than all the consoles together, so there’s really a bigger market out there,” he said.

    That's a nice perspective on PC gaming, for a change.

    Codemasters today announced that the first Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising downloadable content – the ‘Skirmish’ pack – is available for PC, bundled with a title update patch.

    Title Updates for the console editions of the acclaimed tactical shooter will arrive prior to the launch of the ‘Skirmish’ DLC pack on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network. The Title Update for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft edition of the game will be available November 5th, with the Title Update for the PlayStation3 computer entertainment system edition to follow shortly.

    Today Ubisoft announced that C.O.P. The Recruit, an open world action-adventure game specifically designed for the Nintendo DS system, has shipped to store shelves. Rated "T" for Teen, C.O.P. The Recruit will be available at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of $29.99.

    "C.O.P. The Recruit gives DS fans the opportunity to fight crime and protect New York City in an impressive, fully rendered 3D open world," said Adam Novickas, director of marketing for Ubisoft.
