Only ONE Doctor Who fan so far?

Very disappointed.

Dr. S.
I used to enjoy Dr Who, especially when the doctor was played by Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. I did go off it after Tom Baker left.

Those would be my favorite Doctors too, particulary the episodes with Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart & UNIT. Here in the States, we have to count on our local Public TV affiliate or buy the videos; so it's only on intermittently. I've been a fan since the early '70s.

I'm afraid to say I'm one of those who has every single episode (that remains) on video and DVD (as they come out) plus a vast collection of memorabilia in my loft. I used to go to the Conventions but that was 20 years ago, not been to one for years.......

The last Convention I attended was in 1990. Terry Nations was the featured speaker. Dr. Who had some incredibly bad special effects and hokey plots, but always some of the wittiest dialogue.

I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE!

One of the funniest shows on TV! I love it when Dangle's bike gets stolen. It's almost an "Oh my God! They killed Kenny!" type of thing. Hilarious.:D

Fawlty Towers was great fun.
There was also a series about a veterinary in England.
And of course, the series about the Scottish detective Eddie Shuestring, it was so bad that it actually was good! :cheeky:
Overall, I think the British make good TV.
Don't watch much the contemporary series.

Ah yes, thanks, I think they called it 'All God's Animals' here! (In our lingo of course ;) )

Edit: Ah, no, damn, it was 'In our Lord's Meadow'. (?)

Or something like that. Grrr. The memory is good, but short. I think I need to buy it. It should be on DVD these days! :)
