Amazing to me how many "non-2016 or 2017" released scenarios are in these lists :)

A large affection for old perfection?

Well ... I don't know if I can choose just 10 ... let's see:

Since we're discussing "favourites", i.e., "just a blast to play", then all of the 3-player scenarios that I've tried qualify:

TOT45 The Dogs of War
FB14 At the Narrow Passage
J171 Whom Gods Destroy
FT127 In the Mouth of Madness

I haven't played many CGs, but it's hard to go past the classic:

RB-I Into the Factory

And then there's the well, Just Plain Fun:

E Hill 621
SP115 The Five Pound Prize
AP55 The Generalissimo's Own
J24 Smashing the 3rd

VotG18 In Sight of the Volga

... but so many others too!

To make my " all-time " list, I need to have victories as BOTH sides in tournament play.

That list includes:

Beyond the Pakfronts
To Clear a Roadblock
Bone of Contention
Han-Sur Neid

I like scenarios with many available strategic options for both sides allowing the 'gaming personalities' of the players to be expressed.
I try and design them like this. Much like a Burt Bacharach song that can be covered by many--- each working in a different genre even

Basically, nobody moved (either side) for three turns or something like that.

I think we went through 4 or 5 player Turns (after my initial move, where I pulled down an Iron Curtain in front of the German entry), where we basically rolled for Wind Change only and moved the Turn marker.

By far the most amazing and mind-blowing ASL scenario I have ever played.

ok, my top 10 in no particular order:

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
Kampfgruppe 1001 Nacht
To Ashes
One Down, Two to Go
Vulcan`s Forge
Round One
Cold Crocodiles
Scouts Out
The Last Tiger
Seizing the Sittang Bridge

and, if allowed to add my own design, it would be Rage Against The Machine.

I looked "To Ashes" over to see what the fuss was about. It has an attacking-player-must-have-N-(unbroken, etc)-units-in-the-victory-circle VC. I assume the Germans waited until the last turns for salmon-run-past-the-bears rush into the the victory circle, and the British waited for targets to appear. Mind-blowing perhaps, but was it fun?
