Any long range reports from Weather Station Kurt (Wetter-Funkgerät Land-26) as what participants at W.O. might expect? Do I need to add a snow shovel or Schneeketten to my kit?

The 10 day forecast had rain on Friday or Saturday and in lower 40s.

Winter Offensive Alert

Our annual charity tournament, Winter Offensive, kicks off Thursday January 11 at 5pm. Often, some players have gathered at the Comfort Inn before then, but the doors officially open then, with registration activities and sales later in the evening. As usual, we will have several mini tournaments starting Thursday evening, and again Friday morning. Saturday will see Dan Dolan running a special Dinant team tournament, where 3 players (randomly assigned) on each team will play a BIG Dinant scenario.

Winter Offensive Bonus Pack #9 will be available, as will the new Korean module Forgotten War.

Will Bret Hildebran defend his title?
Or will Bill Cirillo complete the grand slam?
Or will Gor-Gor show up?

Has anyone compiled a list of what is needed to play the scenarios in FW. I am traveling to WO tomorrow and want to bring along maps, overlays and nationalities needed for the copy of FW that I will be picking up in Bowie.

JRV you are likewise best placed to do this yourself! Don't ask some one else to do a job you can well do yourself.
Everything I know about ASL tournaments I learned from this book:

"JRV" is short for submarine commander...torpedo away...running hot, straight and true...huge ships are in danger.

If you’re going to WO18 and you’d like to try a large scenario and be part of something bigger..And compete for a MAJOR PRIZE. Sign up Friday after you crash and burn because of that one dr that screwed your chance of glory.

The Dinant mini will allow them to see your genius when you aren’t defeated in a 17 minute 4 Turn tournament scenario by a dollop of petrochemical goop.

We understand.
We don’t care.
But we do understand.

We just need bodies.

Sign me up.

I can't make it this year (again) but I'm pulling for Cirillo to make it a hat trick--ASLOK, Albany, & Winter Offensive. If he makes it to the Bitter Ender and wins that it will be an ASL Grand Slam!
Technically a Tiger Woods Grand Slam, correct? :)
