It was. Played two scenarios from it. Won both. It must be extremely balanced. Hexes on four included boards are misprinted very large but it does make it very easy to put counters in without knocking them over.

I followed this thread and still couldn't believe that Deluxe boards were coming out. JR's riddles were too much for me.

I think this is the more likely scenario:
Chas: "Geez, Perry. What are we going to do? The intern made four-thousand copies of the new map with the copier set to enlarge. We won't have time to print a new batch. Brian is going to have a fit when he finds out!"
Perry: "Relax, Chas. I got this. See, we take the maps and cut them in four, like so."
Brian: "What's up guys?"
Perry: "We were just proofing the new deluxe maps for the Winter Offensive Pack, right Chas?"
Chas: "Deluxe? I don't remember...upfffh." A sharp elbow digs into Chas's ribs.
Perry: "Sure you do. At the first meeting. It was sure a great idea you had, Brian. A new set of deluxe maps. Genius!"
Brian: "Er, thanks. It, er, was a good idea, wasn't it. I knew it would be."
Perry: "Ok, everyone; Brian says it's a go. We have just enough time to get these deluxe maps packaged up and ready to sell for Winter Offensive!"
