Just gonna be starting my pbem soon, so then I'll post about that later on.
I.M.P.O.:
Strategic command is great for beginners and novices like me, it feels like TOAW lite (extremely lite).
Once the game is installed, you don't need the CD to run the game.
Sometimes tho', I wish I could stack the counters.
I found it quite addictive - simple to pick up but still challanging. The AI is good at manuevering and deploying its units against my attacks. I find myself going, darn, foiled again! It also does a good job at attacking and breaking through the defences I put up. At times when I think I have scared away the AI by putting up a good looking defence, it goes away for a round or two and then comes back again.
I have no doubt that wargame veterans will find this game not as challanging. But I find it fun, something I can play in between the more demanding games.
PBEM:
It does replay your opponent's turn before letting you start yours.
