"The Nintendo Wii's signal can upset a pacemaker"

THIS JUST IN, OLD MAN KILLED BY GRANDSONS VIDEO GAME

lol this is nothing to worry about imho. Cell phones, certain batteries, microwaves, etc can interrupt pacemakers. I don't think this would be any worse..but I don't know much about it.

Here's a list of things that can upset pacemakers:

Stay at least 12 inches away from the following:

Stereo speakers
Magnets
Magnetic wands used at airports
Industrial power generators
Arc welders
Battery-powered cordless power tools (drills, screwdrivers)
Cellular phones

Avoid completely:

Large magnets
MRI machines
CB or ham radios
Radio transmitters (including those used in toys)
High-voltage power lines [keep at least 25 ft(8 m) away]

So that'd include PS3 and 360 controllers also. Sensationalism ftw?

None of those include the PS3 or 360. I know your trying to link it to battery powered cordless tools or radio transmitters but they don't fall under either.

The power tool batteries put out a large electro-magnetic field when in use. Ion Lithium do not.

No next gen controller Wii, SIXAXIS, or 360 use radio transmission or RF frequencies.

I suppose if you read the link you'd have seen this part.

Hmm, so radio transmitters are a problem, along with just about everything else that runs on electricity. According to this list, this is also a problem for the Xbox 360 wireless controllers along with the PS3. Any wireless signal could be an issue if you held it's source close to a pacemaker

Correct any wireless signal CAN be a problem. Bluetooth not as much as RF. RF is a crude wavelength signal. Its a medium distance signal and very intrusive. Bluetooth is short distance but is a digital signal.. The data is smaller and does not need a RF signal to be transferred.

Hence why routers can go through walls around corners and such and bluetooth can often struggle with it.

What does the Wii use anyways? I really don't know..curious.

Oh cock I accidentally locked this thread when I locked all of the other spam threads, my mistake. Damn spamming mofo!

Anyway I guess this is fanboy propaganda trying to make the Wii look bad right before launch.
