Who's your favorate horror movie villain?

Do you have a favorite horror movie villain? Or perhaps it's just a particular type of villain or style of horror movie that you enjoy. Zombies, for example.

For me, it has always been end of the world type of stories. I think that's because my favorite movie as a kid was George Pal's War of the Worlds. Also, I loved Day of the Triffids (been meaning to check out the British remake from a few years ago). Those are the horror stories I like - mayhem on a world shattering scale. I guess that is why I also like The Mist, Cloverfield and Night of the Living Dead.

1. Hannibal Lecter ("The Silence Of The Lambs" only)
2. Gabriel ("God's Army")
3. Major Koenig ("Enemy At The Gates")
4. Joker (any version, Romero excluding)
5. Darth Vader (old trilogy)

In no particular order:

• The alien from Alien. Creepiest sci-fi monster ever.
• The Thing from John Carpenter's The Thing. It can be anything. It can be anyone.
• Jaws. This was a scary ***t! I didn't go swimming for a year after I saw this at the movies.
• Nosferatu. The undead are in a class by themselves.

The Demon in all the Exorcist movies, I think it is Pavalu, from the statues.

And whatever was chasing Ash from the Evil Dead.\

Btw, it looks like Evil Dead 4 comes out next year!
