Clearly ASL is, and I play almost exclusively on VASL. A big part of why PBEM works so well is because the sequence of play is intelligently broken up so that a significant number of things can be put into one log. Most of the truly interactive stuff involves defensive first fire and handling HIP units, entering residual, etc. But very manageable.
I know that many of the games and series are highly interactive, requiring constant back and forth between players. That is fine for FTF and online play, where both players are physically present, but not for PBEM where the number of logs would be prohibitive.
I'm looking for MMP games or systems that work well with PBEM, where a log can be put together at midnight and you receive a next log sometime after.
Any ideas appreciated.
