situation. close combat between a Russian walking wounded 447 and a 8-1 leader versus 2 German 467 squads odds at 1-1 dice roll is a 5 which is cas reduction however ww squads receive minus 1 against it which makes final dice roll a 4 resulting in kill. question is if the Russian leader was attacked as well does he share the fate of the 447 even though he is NOT walking wounded? how would this be properly resolved?

You resolve it by applying the -1 DRM to the units that suffer the -1 DRM, and not applying it to those that don't. No need to get all fancy with your example with "walking wounded" and whatever; A single 4-6-7 attacks two 4-4-7's, one of which is CX. The odds are 1:2 and he rolls a "5". That's a big fat miss vs. the 4-4-7 that isn't CX and a CR result vs. the 4-4-7 that is CX. That's all there is to it.
