What is your level of artist skill?

Depends what you think 'art' is I can play about in photoshop making things like these from a stock image:

And vectoring, doing line art that sort of stuff. But I can't draw, paint etc to save my life.

I suppose what I do (and most people from what I can tell besides Darksora, sprig and a few others) is digital art. Not traditional.

And for that I'd say... Intermediate... *shrugs*

I do the same kind of art as Naluka and many sengo members. I guess it would be digital art. But you it is hard to grade yourself because everybody has a different idea of what is good (unless your a noob then its prety obvious)

Yeah, I understand it is digital art we're talking about (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

Can you create art and graphics from scratch?

im professional but other would disagree, so i dont think the poll will do much.
(obviously, im not pro, it was an example) and you can expect to see everyone votin in the 1-5 range just to be humble .

So, i'll let others decide what i am as i dont think i'll ever reach the 10 point, hardly anyone can.

But ive been doing digital art for around 1 and a 1/2 years now.

- used a photo for this and edited it with filters and the pen tool

I'd say 5/6 for myself... i dont think im that bad... most of my sigs are here so you can decide if im wrong lol...

some of my recent stuff:

- using just the render and smudged it

- render, c4ds and some filtering... so not all me i think it still looks good though

- and this was all me using the pen tool

sorry but I feel i have to point out that a lot of people, as far as I know, use tuts and may just edit them a bit at the end to make them look like there own and not a complete copy of the one in the tut.

not saying anyone hasnt got talent but a lot of things that do look really good where just made from following a tut, I THINK.

i agree with you there, although i havent used tuts for a while now in sig making, hence why my recent sigs have never really progressed in quality

ye not saying everyone uses them and that they use them all the time, just that some of the sigs show where done useing tuts and not just created with there own idea in there head and there own idea how to do it.

Although I do get that now they have read the tut they now have more ideas on how to do stuff and may well be able to create a sig from scrath on there own and they may of well done it

I rarely use sigs now, well i use it once, then try to make my own but with editing most of the steps myself.

It's like learning a subject of school, you do a topic and remember the facts....
