What is an ASL AREA Journal

So what does the word AREA mean in the title?

Are you going to have different versions of the ASL Journal like Sport Illustrated has at the beginning of football season with a different luminary on the cover?

AREA was a rating system that AH used to rank players of its game. It would publish them in The General magazine. Kind of like chess ratings. Maybe it is related to that. Oh...found this.
