Just finished a game of Fighting Formations from GMT. I liked it, very different, especially the iniative track mechanic.

Bought FF when it first came out and was scheduled to play a buddy, but it fell through. Ive been looking for a decent wargame a level higher than ASL, but still tactical. It looks good.Just finished a game of Fighting Formations from GMT. I liked it, very different, especially the iniative track mechanic.

San Juan or Twilight Struggle?I hate that damn game....I never win!
What did you think about Homesteaders? Just picked it up as an Xmas present for my sister.yesterday played Union Pacific and Homesteaders.
It was called 'Le Havre light'. Played Le Havre once, would have to agree. Easier to learn, interesting and quick enough to play often enough to get good at it (which was the problem with Le Havre)What did you think about Homesteaders? Just picked it up as an Xmas present for my sister.
Do you work together? How would it work for 4 players and how long does it take to play?played 2 games of Betrayal at House on the Hill with my 2 sons over the weekend, good fun
Homesteaders would work nicely for such attention spans.Too hard for three teenagers to play a game longer than 2-3 hours.
