The USMC History of WW2 can be found on this site as pdf files for free.
That is where I got my copies.

This should be directly accessible on the www.marines.mil site, but there do not appear to be dedicated pages for it. Fortunately, Wikipedia has an entry, and the links work. Excerpts:

History of U.S. Marine Corps Operations in World War II is the official history of the Corps during the war. Its five volumes were published beginning in 1958...
Publication history
Volumes I, II, III, and V were published by the Historical Branch, G-3 Division, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. Volume IV was published by the Historical Division, Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps. They were printed and offered for sale by the Government Printing Office. All five are available as PDFs: [1], [2], [3], [4], and [5].

Received my Doomed Battalions a couple of days ago. I just sat down to clip counters and am somewhat disappointed. The die cut on many of the counters is not good. Either the counter art is crammed at the top of the counter or over to the left of the counter. The Polish MMCs are positioned such that when I clipped some of them, the insignia in the top left corner is affected.

I wish the QC on these would have been better. I guess that's just the luck of the draw and I'll chalk it up to that. Anyone else seeing this on their counters?

I had a similar issue with one of the counter sheets in Forgotten War and MMP was happy to replace it. You might send them an email or give them a ring.

In such a case I would contact MMP and send them a picture. By my personal experience, my guess it that they will send you a replacement sheet.

Doomed Battalions 4th edition.
I had the 3rd edition but wanted the zoomed in counters with bigger font. Since I organize my AFVs and Guns by chapter H it was super easy as the counters were also organized by notes numbers!!! it was the easiest punch/clip/store ever! now all i need to update is AoO!

DB4, HP, ASL Journal 11 (was OOP when I went on the buying spree for back journals then came back in print) and the Arnhem pack.

Next up, Korea, then hope to catch HL and CDG on sale in November. That will complete my catch-up campaign.
