WEST COAST RUMBLE

The 2021 West Coast Rumble is in the history books. While the turnout was less than expected (primarily due to health concerns), the participants enjoyed themselves in a leisurely 3 round-robin tournament. This year’s West Coast Rumble Champion was Darren Kovacs; congratulations Darren.

Record
3-0 Darren Kovacs
2-1 David Wolfe
1-2 Rich Jenulis
0-3 Glen MacDermid

Most Snake-eyes (13) Darren Kovacs
Most Boxcars (13) David Wolfe
Panzer Ace (2) David Wolfe
Good Sportsman Glen MacDermid

A big thanks go out to the following sponsors for helping out with this year’s tournament; their support is greatly appreciated.

Chris & Helen Doary at Battleschool/Kitshop for the Gift Certificates
Sam Tyson at Bounding Fire Productions for the Gift Certificate
Scott Blanton Gamer’s Armory for the Gift Certificate
Dave Mareske and the rest of the Kansas City ASL Club for the scenario packs
Lone Canuck Publishing for the dice tower, plaques, t-shirts, coffee cups, and scenario packs
Mario Aceto at La torre dei dadi for the dice cup
Perry Cocke and the crew as MMP for the scenario pack
Phil Lacefield Jr and the rest of the crew at Noble Knight Games for the scenario packs
Derek Ritter at Ritterkrieg Games for the OBA Cards

In addition, I want to thank Rob Bottos and the rest of the BottosCon crew for putting on the convention and allowing the West Coast Rumble to be a part of it. The work of the convention staff is under appreciated so I want to thank them for a well-run event.

The hope for next year is that the pandemic to be well behind us and next year’s tournament to be better attended. I hope to count on the continuing support of the sponsors whose prizes are much appreciated by the tournament participants.

I look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s tournament 4-6 November 2022.
