The 2021 West Coast Rumble (WCR) ASL Tournament is a part of BottosCon 2021 and if you want to attend the WCR you must register with BottosCon.

Registration for BottosCon 2021 is now open.

There is a cap of 100 Participants.

2021 West Coast Rumble Scenario List

Here is the list of this year's scenarios.

With 46 days to go until the 2021 West Coast Rumble (WCR), here is a situation report:

At present 8 players have registered for the tournament. There are a total of 74 people registered for the convention, leaving 26 spots left open.

The WCR is apart of the larger convention, BottosCon 2021, run by Rob Bottos. With the 4th Wave of COVID-19 sweeping across North America and the rest of the world, the BC Government has instituted a Health Order, which Rob as organizer is following:

• Rob has limited the total attendance to 100 people;
• Attendees must have both shots of the COVID-19 Vaccine;
• Attendees must have proof (QR Code App or Vaccine Card) of vaccination;
• Attendees must wear a mask in the gaming room; and
• Attendees must adhere to all safety protocols.

People have the right to refuse to:

• not wear a mask,
• not get vaccinated, or
• not follow health safety protocols

By not attending this private event.

Let's all be safe.

Further updates will occur as we get closer to the event; after nearly two years, it will be nice to do some face to face ASL game play.

Hi BottosCon attendee,

Below is a message from our intrepid convention organizer. Please read and take heed.


Hi everyone, until such time as the Covid-19 regulations are relaxed, the following are the conditions we must abide by in order to have our event. If you cannot in good conscience abide by these requirements, you need to let me know ASAP and I will refund your convention fee.

1. Participants coming from the US should have some kind of paperwork to show that they do have the double vaccines; and a photo ID for verifying who they are.
2. Participants will be required to have their mask on anytime in all common areas of the hotel; they can remove their mask once seated in the Hyack. Please note that they cannot move around and mingle or socialize with other gamers in the room. The patio doors will be unlocked for that purpose if they wish to be outside for that. Yes, mask on when they get up to go outside the room.
3. If we wish to utilize the mezzanine; masks must be used at all times as it is a common area. Our Housekeeping dept personnel goes back & forth through that corridor.
4. Physical distancing: Tables should not have more than 6 total; and the tables need to have at least 1 body space in between each player (ie: 6’ table should only have 4 players; 4’ table only 2 players.
5. The hotel will provide hand sanitizer stations w/signage. You as an organizer will remind participants to either use hand sanitizers; or, wash their hands well often.
6. Yes, we can still take pre-ordered lunch and/or dinner. Participants will have to pay directly to the Boathouse Restaurant with cash.
7. Each day upon arrival at the hotel, the Hotel staff will be verifying that you have your vaccine passport with you. Please cooperate with the hotel staff and do not give them any grief.
8. Attendees found not to be following the mask mandate will be given ONE warning from Convention staff, subsequent violation will result in your being asked to leave and no refund will be issued. If we do not abide by the mask mandate conditions, the hotel could cancel our event. Please don't be the person who causes us all to lose out on gaming.

The 2021 West Coast Rumble is in the history books. While the turnout was less than expected (primarily due to health concerns), the participants enjoyed themselves in a leisurely 3 round-robin tournament. This year’s West Coast Rumble Champion was Darren Kovacs; congratulations Darren.
