I’m working on my MBX rules and below you will see Section 1.4 Weather
and would like some feedback from the members on this forum. As
you can see I selected 4000 meters for clear visibility and was
wondering what the other settings should be for, Fog, Rain, and Snow.

I.4 WEATHER
Weather conditions for each Operational Turn will be based on the MBX
Date. Any time weather is determined to be a factor in a Tactical
Combat this will be simulated through the use of the Visibility
Setting in the Tactical Battle creation process.

Condition TacOps Visibility Setting
Clear 4000
Fog
Rain
Snow

John,

Check out the Sighting Conditions Table from Harpoon 4.1. in the Effects of Weather and Light section (4.5.5). I realize that it is naval, but also know you are familiar with the game. Suface vis would be effected like this.

Fog: Light Fog 10%, Thick Fog 5%, Dense Fog 2%.

Day Precip: Light: 10%, Intermediate: 5%, Heavy 2%

Night Precip: Light 5%, Intermediate/Heavy 2%.

John, there is also an Environment annex (Annex N) to generate random time, wind, cloud, visibility (to include Unlimited, Very Clear, Clear, Light Haze, Haze, Light Fog, Thick Fog, Dense Fog, Moon Phases, Day/Night Light-Intermittant-Heavy Precipitation.

If you don't have H4.1, odds are there must be someone in your workplace that does, if even just for the data.

Thanks, I think James may have Harpoon 4.1. If not I will have to buy it. I've been meaning to get it anyway :)

Peter,

I went ahead and order Harpoon 4.1. Should get it this week coming up.
