WaR 10.62 Line in the Sand playtest v. Ernie Cameron; German reconnaissance unit advances westward toward Bastogne and runs into paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division.

Germans probe forward clearing road into village, as American pullback to interdict the road.

Played first two turns in little over an hour; highlight thus far, an American 7-4-7 rolled Snake-eyes in Melee, creating a 8-1 leader, killed a German 4-6-7 and LMG, and then withdrew before the remain German 4-6-7 could attack.

Provided the American has not amassed ≥ 43 CVP, the German must clear a single east-west road with no unbroken American MMC on/adjacent to it.

Looks like quite a change from the initial publication. A new board, downgrade of German Infantry types, increased the nmbr of JgPz IVs & perhaps fewer Pz IVs. May as well be a new scenario completely. The 1st iteration we considered VERY pro-American and rated it the lowest in the original pack. This also has the look of being fairly pro-American as it'll be quite difficult to pry paras from the stone bldgs; but then I don't know how many turns the Germans have to accomplish their mission. Look forward to the redo of this pack as it was one of my favorites overall.
