For the life of me I cannot remember the answer to this...or maybe I just never saw it...hmmm...

Anyway...a German unit advances into a location containing a Russian reserve.

Does the Russian unit get the -2 Ambush roll drm for being "concealed"?

Thanks,

As Klas said, the Reserve unit (Russian in this instance) is put on board unconcealed (RF11.6194. b) so there would be no chance for them to receive a concealed Ambush drm unless stacked with a concealed unit.

I'm so confused...

?
In this case there is an easily resolvable conflict between the (current) literal rules interpretation and the design intent (per T. Morin). I'll go with design intent in any CG, especially since it 'feels right' to place Reserves on map concealed, and in every CG I've played both players have always agreed to an equivalent house rule.
Enjoy, Joshua

Has there been any official resolution regarding Reserves and Ambush?

Thanks,
