We're working through some SK scenarios to get back into full ASL, about 2 scenarios from each SK (or expansion pack in this case). Culminating with Decision at Elst before jumping back into the deep end. ?

Hi Gents

Thanks for a nice ARR and the style is very cool

At the end - can a leader occupy for VC a building in SK? - need an mmc in ASL

Is PF harder in SK - in ASL pop them all the time by stepping outside building and no back blast - rolls have to be low but it give lots of more FP

Cheers

I don't believe the control rules are defined in Starter Kit. It is up to the scenario to define "control" in the VC, if "control" is part of the VC. S51: "The Americans win at game end by occupying hex(es) sH4, RP5 or both with a Good Order unit." A SMC would suffice.

Units may "step out" in ASLSK too, although it isn't called that (nor is called that in ASL, actually)

Yes, a "Good Order infantry unit" satisfies VCs, and "infantry units" in SK are defined as SMC and MMC.

Not sure what you mean by "stepping out". You can fire inside a building with a +2 DRM (maybe simulating finding somewhere outside the building to fire to avoid backblast). So that means hitting a building hex target two hexes away, where most of the action took place, takes a TH DR of 4 (two hex range TH = 6). That's after trying to roll a 1 or 2 for availability (because +1 drm for not firing at an AFV target). So 33% chance you even have one (or opportunity to fire), then a TH# of 4. Slim. I think I only was able to fire one off, and it was a miss.
