Lou took a look at this, but his password doesn't seem to work, so he asked me to pass it on....

If I could post this this I would. I believe we have traced the
problem with Vichy withdrawal on the forum.
--
Event 82 capture of Paris triggered Event 85.
Vichy is created by Event 85 withdrawing the French Republic forces.
Event 85 triggers Event 207 – setting ownership for Vichy unit
deployments.
Event 207 triggers Event 360.
Event 360 enables event 361 – 2 occupies Lyons (Allies) forcing Vichy
withdrawal, Event 215.
The presence of Allied Forces in Lyons or JUST an Allied Zone of
Control when Event 361 was triggered caused the Vichy withdrawal. The
reason for thinking another location might have been the source is that
Event 361 when triggered takes place after a four turn delay.
The above events worked as intended – the problem is that an event is
obviously missing, OR we cannot find it.
ON TURN 1, there should have been a Cancel Event 361. As the event was
never canceled it remained active and was triggered thru the sequence
above.

We are not aware of a way to recover the game by adding a Cancel Event
some turns prior to the problem.
A suggestion dependent on your opponent would be to go backwards.
-2x allied turn abandon Lyon and adjacent hexes.
-1x Axis Parachute unit land in Lyon. The reason for this time frame is
that Lyon MUST BE Axis controlled prior to the turn x Paris is captured.
Now will the battles be fought again, or will you just follow the
previous track of the units? A mutual decision being required. Battle
results will never be identical; missing the losses for two turns is
somewhat minor towards saving the time invested in the game.

A way to avoid another potential problem with this sequence is make the
delay Event 361, 8 or more turns. With the French withdrawn, the
British will not leave anyone behind to keep Lyon.
