Just finished a really fun game against Jim Taylor in the East Division. We chose The Last Attack, in which the Russians need to defend two widely-separated buildings against Finnish infantry supported by German armor. Rather than split his forces and attack both buildings simultaneously, Jim chose to combine his two companies to make one overwhelming attack against the first building before moving on to the second. I tried to be as annoying as possible, hoping to slow him down enough that he would run out of time. Alas, I made the classic blunder of the fighting withdrawal and got out of there a turn too late. My forces were cut up pretty badly as they fell back on the second of the two buildings, and when his sniper went on a hot streak, I lost a couple of key units and I just didn't have enough redundancy to fend him off. Very close game. I recommend both the scenario and the opponent; best of luck to Jim in the next round.

Sorry if this is out of place but I'm hoping there's a VASL League 2025?

Jim Fardette's Americans held of Jeff Howell's Germans in A17 Backs to the Sea. The Germans attacked up the center and enjoyed initial success against some inaccurate GI firepower, but in the end the 9-2 broke too many squads for Jeff to meet the victory conditions. Great game Jeff and very enjoyable opponent.

Rich Domovic's Vichy French defeated Larry Rohlfing's Brits in AP163 - Dingoes at Damour.

Nice, friendly paced game. Brits attacked mostly right up the middle, but the attack bogged down in first building complex. A melee in the farthest front building hex continued from turn 3 until we called it after turn 5 as both sides reinforced it.

The Mark VIB's just could not get results from multiple 8+2 shots and an overrun counterattack by the Vichy AMD 20s survived multiple Atr/MG hits to break some badly needed Brit infantry.

Finished my game of J246 Loser Takes All with Mike Augustine.
My Soviets held on for the win.

Star of the show was my 76L ART which took out the 2 entering AFVs, a couple of squads and then immobilised the JadgPanthrr with an intensive fire shot. Against dice like that, it us very hard to achieve your VC.

Just finished my game of BFP Tolstoy Woods with Asad Rustum.
Great game which swung both ways.
Notable was a Soviet ATR which killed a PZ3 on a hull hit, needed a 3 to kill and got a 2.
Also on the last turn (which probably won the game for my Germans) an immobilised PZ3 went on a rate tear against a leader and 2 squads in a building 2 hexes away with 4 shots including 2 crits which broke them all.
Thanks for the game Asad, pleasure to meet you and thanks again to Tobias for organising.

Kris Koch and I played "The Beasts Have Arrived". The dice gave me the Russian's, with balance, as we both liked the German side the most.
The game was fun and relaxed, the Germans was received with accurate fire - decimating some of the squads early on - the Tigers and Panthers found that the IS-2 were real Beasts, losing three of them to my two IS-2's. The 57LL gun took one more Panther out and the last Tiger battled with the two T-34's when the scenario ended. Kris took 2 of the 4 VC Buildings needing 3.
Thanks for the game Kris .

In the email you got with your opponent for the round, there was a reporting link. You HAVE to report your result using that link and the web interface it leads to. If you have lost that email, there will be a reminder email coming soon to all players with missing reports.
