We just finished ASL77 Le Herisson. John attacked as the Germans, but my Colonial French defenders rolled too low for his bold attack, and I reached the CVP cap in turn 5.

Also, this was my 200th game of ASL! What a fun game!

David Haasl and I just finished AP211, Breakthrough in the Arctic. It was won by my Germans by the skin of their teeth. The 3rd building with the DC was nearly taken on turn 6, but then went off removing it from the VC. The last VC building was full of broken units that couldn't be cleared in the final turn to give my the Pyrrhic victory. Fun scenario, super opponent!

Rich Domovic's Amis defeated Jay Dragonetti's Germans in Hart Attack.

I had fun with a nice scenario which we had both played before.

Highlight for Jay was two snakes by one Panzer to smoke two of my Lees. Low light was his 9-1 turning two 548s berserk and a then disastrous charge at adjacent Lee in open ground.

I have deleted the reporting form, if someone could post it here, I would appreciate it.

I got ghosted by my opponent for weeks. Finally got him online only to find he never played VASL. Spent over an hour getting his files in the right spot on his PC and able to get in a room with everything working. Picked a short setup off VASL downloads, did my setup (he wanted to be the Germans) and sent him back the file. Now crickets.

Played 212 Shoulder to Shoulder with Leslie Douglas, and learned more than a few rules from him. Great!

He was unlucky with his leaders as 3 out of 4 died by snipers, k and failure to rout… it was quite even until the 5th turn.

He had more CVP and the chance to exit 10 VP In turns 6 and 7…. But then I passed a 2MC with a 666 with a 3: I could advance to CC! And then he rolled a eleven to break and failure to rout a squad, leaving his hero alone vs my hero+666…. And close by, I was able to pass a PAATC vs his motion BU Stug with a 666 + 8-1…. A roll of four finished his Stug! Another CC in a 3-2 vs a hs also went my side! That was a lot of CVP!

The last turn the dice Gods were with me indeed! Quite a close game!

If the tournament director wants to drop the ghoster and add me, and it's not too late to join, I'd be happy to give you a game.

I am not going to name him publicly, as I suspect he is not an avid gamer. I have emailed the tournament director, and I suspect (if he can actually get in contact) the individual will withdraw from the tournament. Still waiting to hear from the TD what the status of my game is. It was frustrating enough that I would take the forfeit just to stop beating my head against a wall.

I understand a lot of things interfere with games; emergencies, old age, illness/injury, an opportunity to have sex, but not zero communication.

If your opponent doesn't react, report the game as a forfeit on his part.

Players in the SLL who forfeit their first round game (that is, don't play at all, they can of course concede during the game, that counts as a normal loss) are automatically removed from the league.

Send me an email, instructions are in the first post of this thread.

To all: I'm quite busy at the moment, so it might take some time before I answer my emails. But I will get to it eventually.
