Laurent Tinture and me have played Broich Bash from the new Yanks. My Germans resisted the American assault holding the two multihexes decisive Victory Buildings thus making impossible to reach for the American the required number of Victory Points.
Laurent is a good and very gracious player and will have hopefully more luck in the next round!

Robert Oler defeated my US forces in a game of J178 Old Friends. I was too conservative in entering my armor and failed to concentrate it. Rob was able to continually sting me until I hit the Cap. Nice defense by Rob in this one. Cheers

David Langer and Mike Augustine will be playing DB134 March on Marche. David will have the French and I will have the Germans
David's French get the win by denying my Germans the last victory building. Great defensive tactics by David, and a very fun opponent.

Pagni (Russian) defeated Perham (German) FrF23 Elefants Unleashed. Leader took his platoon on a Berserk run away from my point of attack on the first player turn and it was downhill from there. Failed to win CC in final building location.

Great game by you, too, Mike. This one went all the way down to the wire, and may very well have written a different ending but for one persistent French half squad with a 60mm mortar!

To anyone looking for a fun early war scenario, take a gander at DB134 March on Marche. It's got an interesting collection of early war armored cars and light tanks, along with motorcycles and cavalry, to boot. The Germans have a strong force and a lot of flexibility, but they have a ways to go with the French in good defensive terrain. The Germans also have to worry about any French slipping past them to re-take victory locations or even knock out a pontoon bridge with a demo (causing the Germans to lose outright).

Gentlemen, while I'm collecting the last results to close the round, I have to wait the answer of the judges about two games that had an unconventional end.
More later

Hi Enrico
Unfortunately Daniel and I were not able to finish our game. In the last couple of weeks Daniel was not able to play to due illness

We had only started our scenario (only completed the first couple of turns)

I leave it up to your discretion

Joe

Hopefully this did not involve the spilling of blood!

well, one game has been already adjudicated. No need of judgement since facts were obvious.
The other is more complicated, I'm waiting both players prepare their written defensive thesis.

Instead I have to announce that Gary quitted the VASLeague for personal reasons. It's a pity that our multi- champion is unable to defend his title.

ya its is kind of sad to see Gary leave, I think he has been having some health issues to deal with. Hopefully he will be able to sort things out and return to the league next year.

Later all the pairings for Round 2 in all leagues but the TOP VASLeague where we are still bogged for a game where not all went in a plain and quiet way. We are working to set any problem and move on
