VASL/VASSAL on a Mac....any trix?

Gotta set up VASSAL on a friend's Mac.

Any secret handshakes/trix/lubricants to ease the process?

If your friend is is keeping MacOS and their Java runtime reasonably up-to-date, then it should "just work". I've only used VASL on the Mac for many years and it is solid.

Biggest problems I've had has been translating hotkey / keyboard shortcuts that are typically documented for Windows users into the Mac equivalents.

Mac OS Sierra broke my connection to random.org. Once I installed Mojave I've been good to go.

I don't recall having trouble with hot keys/accelerators other than remembering them. ?
