VASL scrolling problem?

I am running VASSAL 3.6.2 and VASL 6.6.3.1.

Since installing the latest version of VASL, I have encountered an occasional problem with it scrolling up or down. With no warning and no keyboard input, the screen will suddenly scroll all the way to the top of the map, or all the way to the bottom. Doesn't happen all the time; just occasionally. I thought this was a problem with my computer, but I have not experienced this with any other program--just VASL.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, I do (running VASSAL 3.6.3 (edited) and VASL 6.6.3.1)
And I know of at least one other player who has the same problem, too.

(Haven't reported it yet, as I have no clue what triggers it.
Might just as well be Michelle from the Resistance )

Yes.
I actually am on VASSAL 3.6.3 (macos-x86_64) since almost as soon as it was released, so no longer on 3.6.2.
The same applies for the other player I know of (who runs Windows).

I just updated my VASSAL to 3.6.3 (windows-x86_64.exe).

During a game last night the scrolling problem occurred at least 8 or 9 times--both horizontal and vertical. There was no obvious cause (e.g. mouse movement, etc.).

It would be helpful to know what the earliest versions of Vassal and VASL are where you can see this happening (or alternatively, what the last versions are where it does not happen).

This only started happening recently, and I am certain that it began soon after my download of VASL 6.6.3.1 (on VASSAL 3.6.2--and it just happened again a couple nights ago after downloading VASSAL 3.6.3). I did not experience the problem with any versions of VASL/VASSAL prior to this package.

Try the development build VASSAL-3.6.4-SNAPSHOT-99bbc6a-master, available here. Does that solve the problem for you?

Just installed it (thank you). I have a game tonight and will try it out and get back to you. As far as I can recall, these instances have occurred only when I am playing live.

Played last night for several hours--the scrolling problem did not happen a single time.

Same here.

Just finished a 4 hour session and no unwanted scrolling whatsoever since installing the VASSAL-3.6.4-SNAPSHOT-99bbc6a-master.
