When you enter the scenario SAN values in the Scenario Info window, how does VASL determine who is Axis and who is Allied? What happens if you have two traditional Axis forces, e.g., German vs Axis Minor?

In the same window that you enter the SAN values, you also enter who moves first, Allied or Axis. I presume that tells VASL which dice are Axis or Allied. It might also be using the Phase Wheel if present, or the turn marker.

Edit: My post was in error; see Doug’s post below.

VASL doesn't make any connection at all. Regardless of who (which side) rolls the dice, VASL will show a SAN alert whenever one of the two SAN numbers is rolled (on an IFT or TH DR). Players must then decide if in fact a dr needs to be made and by which player.

For such things as SAN and using the Casualty Bin, players must simply decide between themselves which one is Allied and which one is Axis.

Just an observation that in the recent beta8 the Info button moved to the right along the button bar. I'm guessing work is being done on the underlying code.

Yes, an unintended consequence of our work on the Shaders. I have moved it back to it's traditional place.
