Hi

I have VASL running on a Linux box - SuSE 9.2. Had a couple of issues getting the Java webstart going but a re-install and sorting the Java plug-in for the Firefox browser sorted that.

It seems to run fine!

I'm due to buy a new machine in a few months which means I can go through it all again!

Next step is to get Linux running on my laptop and hence VASL as well. Some people have mentioned issues with installing VASL on a laptop once you diconnect from the internet. I found no problems Connected laptop to my router. Installed Java and then installed VASL online. I disconnect and VASL runs fine standalone.

Cheers

Andy

I run VASL using OS 10.3 on my Mac at home and using Windows 2000 Professional on my laptop from work (don't tell). Both work fine and often runs logs created on one on the other when I'm traveling or get home.

Now if I could only get my hands on an eASLRB for the road.....

I was reading THIS article on www.slashdot.org and started to think about VASL and the portability behind it.

I'm wondering, how many people use VASL on platforms other than Windows?
I use it on Red Hat Linux version 9. Works nicely!

regards,
Lars

I had it running on SuSE 9.1 a while back.

I also had RedHat 6.2, but I can't remember if I got it running on that platform.
