... Okay I just confirmed that with 669b2 the transform for overlay 2 is misbehaving ...
Yes, that 'woods in stream' is what I noticed. For overlay 5, there was a circular brush colored area near the bridge.
Enjoy, Joshua

Button/Hotkey to turn off 'opponent centres on my move'

Regularly in scenarios, more often in CG, I would like to do some admin stuff, move control markers for example, whilst my opponent is thinking or doing his rallies or advances (things I don't need to participate in).

However, short of asking my opponent to change his preferences whenever I feel like it, there is no way for me to accomplish this. So consequently during my opponent's thinking time I'm constantly forcing his screen to focus on my moves.

Would it be possible to have a Hotkey or button to turn off my opponent's 'focus on opponent's moves' option?

My regular local opponent Bruno has an idea: a button that will temporarily hide your opponent’s counters so that you can find all of yours.

How about a button that puts highlighted circles around your SMC? Similar to functionality for brokies…

Suggestion/question: when the hover window pops up showing the contents of a stack would it be possible to hide any turret markers so it's easy to quickly see vehicle stats without having to hunting through a stack and picking the counter to see the stats under the turret marker?

The open Recent Games function does not work as I think it should (possible error on my side). If I save "game one" it does not appear in my recent games drop down, until I manually load "game one" but by then, normally I play that file and name it as "game two" thus continuing the cycle. Is this WAI?

I too have found this behaviour different from other applications that I use, but I have not mentioned it. Other apps tend to add the most recent saved file to the list of Open Recent, but VASL does not. This is particularly annoying when you want to come back to the new file after closing it.

VASL 6.6.9 Beta 2 VASSAL 3.7.12

Overlay Bug

We just finished a VOTG CG date, installed the hideable perimeter extension, did perimeters. No identified problems.

We changed to one of the AF Zamoly maps and noticed that when using overlays some deviant behaviour occurred. When placing an overlay (tested with rubble, FFE and hex grid) the overlays do not "drop to bottom of stack" as we believe they should when placed. Instead, they hide/obscure/block access to any counter and need to be manually (cursor keys) pushed to the bottom layer.

We've seen this behaviour before in the early days of board zoomer testing, when it interreacted poorly with hideable perimeters.

One thing that is new is that if one player pushes the overlay to the bottom layer, the other player also has to push to bottom layer to be able to manipulate any counter in the hex, the overlay layer position seems independent for each player.

We tried cycling through the hideable perimeter markers layer settings but found no joy.

We thought that it may be a problem with the AF PT map so we tried on SaF and found the same problem. We retried on our VOTG save file and the problem repeated.

I suspect an interaction between VASL and hideable control markers again.

You say you finished one session on VASL and then opened a new map.
Was VASL completely closed and reopened at any point?
I have seen the occasional oddity when successively opening new maps/mapboards in VASL, which only seemed to clear if I closed everything down and started fresh.

Hi,
Two Axis Minor Light Mortars (French 50 and German models) have no "+ACQ" option in their contextual menu.

Terrain transformation suggestion:
All woods are rubble (stone or wooden)
All grain are debris

These issues came up in recent playings of WO46 and WO49. Could not find the transformations, so we had to place many draggable overlays for the rubble and resorted to labels “debris” placed on grainfields.

The linking function is fantastic. We use it mainly for ACQ and BS but it's very useful for AL and tunnels.

However in an ordnance heavy game one often has a unit which has a target acquired and is it self acquired by multiple units.

Would it be possible to have the linking lines coloured by owner. Otherwise for this mortar for it takes time to find which hex he has acquired and which are the units which have him acquired. If I could for example configure my links as blue, then it would be easy for me to sort out who I am shooting at versus who is shooting at me.
