VASL LOS freeze

Every time I string LOS to third level hills, the Logfile freezes during playback. Here is a logfile to illustrate what I mean.

There have been several reports of this happening over the last 6 months or so. I have yet to find either a pattern to them or a way to replicate them. Your log file may help with that. Thanks very much.

Here is another one. The others I had are gone now.

I can see what is causing the problem during playback. Not sure yet how to fix it . . . .

To confirm:

(1) this only happens during playback, not during play?
(2) it happens not matter whether you or your opponent actually strings the los?
(3) it only happens when the target is 3 or more levels above the firer; never in the reverse?

1, Yes
2, It doesn't matter who strings
3, It happens when stringing to or from a third level hex. Both directions.

OK, thanks. I have tried a fix which works during playback. Now, I need to be sure that the fix won't cause problems with los checks during play.

There is also a parallel thread on los freezing. I am checking in with people there too.

Anyway, if the fix is good it will appear in the official release of VASL6.5 due in late April.
