VASL freezes

Running VASL 6.6.6 on VASSAL-3.6.17 (windows 11) results in VASL freezing whenever I save, Any ideas please?
I have tried reinstalling but getting the same result.

Random guess: is it related to where you save the file to?

I have seen no other reports of freezing. I suspect Zoltan’s guess is on the right track. Make sure your save game is in the Documents hierarchy.

Reinstalling Vassal will solve your problem only if you have a missing or corrupt file. If Vassal runs and you're getting no error messages, then it's unlikely that you have this situation.

In order to help, we need a better description of what you're doing.

• To where are you attempting to save the file?
• At what point exactly does Vassal freeze?
• What is in the errorLog when this happens?
