VASL Freezes during Game Save or Start Log

I am running VASSAL 3.7.9 and VASL 6.6.8. It has worked fine for a couple weeks. Today I tried to do a game save and VASL froze up on me. I had to restart my computer to get the screen closed. The same thing happened when trying to start a vlog file. I am running Windows 11 on my system. Anybody else have this problem and is so how did you resolve it? Thanks in advance for any help.

Where are you trying to save your games? It may be a directory access issue. Did you see the dialog box for Save Game, asking you for a file name? If you are using uncombined windows, it might have been hidden behind something else.

I have not seen a report of VASL freezing for a while.

Thanks Guys,
That solved the problem. Just a little more background, i was having issues with the counters not getting placed in the hex after movement. I read about the Board Zoomer extension causing the counters to not align in the hex properly. So i deleted the extension as was recommended. That is when the issue occurred. Thanks again for all your help.
